GORDON STRONG

Writer - Speaker - Magician

BIOGRAPHY

Being born in Somerset is important to me, it’s the place where my heart and soul belong. Lately when I’ve been out and about doing talks, workshops and field trips I’ve realised just how many people have tuned in to the potent magic of this incredible county.

My great-grandfather came to the village of Brean in the 1880s when that seaside parish consisted of a few farms and cottages.  It has always been guarded by the mystical presence of Brean Down, a limestone promontory that thrusts out into the Bristol Channel.  As a child playing in the rambling garden of the family house, I could also clearly see Brent Knoll and Glastonbury Tor and feel their munificent presence.

In 1962 I got my first guitar and was soon playing in bands. (They were called Beat Groups then). Making music became part of my life and in 1971 I played at the first Glastonbury Festival. These days my elder son Harry plays with The Dicey Rileys, and if you’re in the Portishead Area, see them and enjoy a magnificent evening of Irish music. Ed my other son loves Hendrix and the Doors just as much as his Dad ever did.

I’ve always been a teacher and a writer (apart from a stint as a landscape gardener) and that is what I was meant to do in this life. In the last few years I’ve made new connections with so many amazing people, not just in the UK but also in America and Australia, and I feel that a wonderful life is beginning for me. A vital new energy is in the world and I want to help others unlock the magic of the mind. The universe is full of laughter, love and light and the time has come to celebrate and be aware of the beauty and wisdom that is everywhere.

Forget negative energies, despair and the corporate line and discover what lies beyond the limits of the material plane.  A new and true philosophy awaits us all.
