The Visit of the Shingon Buddhists and their Chief Priest Eimei Kawakami
Stanton Drew, Sept. 15th '06
After the usual Press photographs stuff, Eimei led the long chanting to revive the energy at the site. The endless rhythms of blessings and song were quite overwhelming. What made the ritual so powerful was the personality of Eimei, the devotion of his followers and their total involvement.
Eimei told us he had detected the female energy present at Stanton Drew, and declared it to be a place of compassion and the most powerful of the stone circles he had encountered during his visit to England.
Eimei declared that the top circle was a place where children who had died were taken so that they might be incarnated again.
The presence of Eimei was extremely powerful. To be gently summoned to stand next to him was a great honour. Tenjo later related tales of this man’s healing, devotion and exploits that were awesome. It was an enormous privilege to be part of this ceremony at the place I so revere.
